Master of Information Technology (MIT) is a postgraduate programme by coursework in open and distance learning (ODL) mode offered by Faculty of Information Science and Technology in Multimedia University, Melaka campus. This MIT programme with two tracks in Artificial Intelligence and Cybersecurity aimed to cultivate graduates that have the necessary competencies for senior or managerial positions in an IT organization or relevant industry, with continual professional development through technical certifications.
The curriculum covers diverse topics including artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and data analytics, emphasizing practical skills to solve contemporary computing challenges. It fosters leadership, effective communication, and collaboration with diverse stakeholders.
The ODL environment utilizes an online learning platform to share digital content, other learning resources, and online lectures with students. Students can access these contents anytime and create a study plan that fits around their work and family commitments. The programme is fully coursework-based, with no final exam, allowing students to focus on continuous assessments, projects, and practical assignments to demonstrate their understanding and skills.
