Learning Re-Imagined in the Fourth Industrial Revolution (IR 4.0)

We stand on the brink of a technological revolution that will fundamentally alter the way we live, work and relate to one another. We are of course on the precipice of what many in the world call “the fourth industrial revolution” – an exciting time of technology progress characterized by artificial intelligence, automation, self-driving cars, gene editing and a variety of exciting new things.
These technology advancements when adapted in the workplace are enabling new ways to execute work, bringing new opportunities for value creation to businesses and organizations. The future of work is going to change as we know it. So the idea is that new jobs will appear. We can reconfigure society to look at these things but it will take a long time if we don’t prepare for it. Doesn’t matter whether you’re an accountant, a lawyer or even a surgeon. 60 percent of keyhole surgery in the western world is conducted by a robot or with an assistance of robots. So we’re going to see a lot of automation, across the board, an entire new revolution.

So what is school for? What is university for? Come over for a coffee talk and let’s find out.
