A total of 10 teams competed in the Integrated Case Study Competition in Melaka recently. The competition was organised by the Faculty of Business and the CPA Australia Student Charter (CPAASC) with its theme “Complex Qualities, Creative Understanding”. The event aimed at improving students’ presentation skills, exposing students with current business issues and promoting CPAASC to the students.

The competition was judged by Mr. Vincent Koh, the Director of Koh Tax Accounting & Corporate Services Sdn. Bhd., Mr. Shaun Lee, the Managing Director of Lee & Lim Tax Consultants Sdn. Bhd. and Ms. Nanthini Ramras, Auditor at Ernst & Young (EY), Melaka Branch. As a result, the team “Rendezvous” emerged as champion and received a cash prize of RM 500 in the competition. Team “5 Idealists” and team “The High Rollers” secured the first runner-up and second runner-up and were awarded cash prizes of RM 300 and RM200 respectively. Also present during the ceremony was Assoc. Prof. Dr. Goh Guan Gan, the Dean of FOB and the faculty members.
