MMU Wins Awards in Dragon Boat and Martial Arts Competitions

MMU Melaka Dragon Boat team has made MMU proud again when they emerged as champion under Mix Team 500M category at the Pesta Sukan Air, Putrajaya recently. About 80 teams from the Malaysia Dragon Boat Community participated in this challenge.  MMU sent 30 athletes to compete in this tournament and at the same time to expose the experience of a real race to the new rowers. The team also managed to secure fourth place for Men Team 500m category during the challenge.

Apart from that, Ranjit Kumar A/L Chandra Sengaran from the Faculty of Creative Multimedia (FCM) attained Silver Medal at the World Silambam Championship for Silambam (Martial Art) in Cyberjaya recently. He was also selected to be in the Guinness World Record for the highest number of people spinning fire baton for the longest time at the Bukit Jalil Stadium, Kuala Lumpur.
