We are proud to announce that our MMU team, BoardBack Enterprise emerged as champion at the MaGIC University Startup Challenge 2019 on 30 September 2019 in Cyberjaya. A group of students from the Faculty of Management (FOM) namely Muna Irsalina Mohd Jamil, Mutiara Azman, Teh Wing Chun, Nur Syahirah Naharuddin and Nurafiqah Nadhirah Mohd Fadli succeeded in the pitching session and walked away with a cash prize of RM15, 000 and other accolades.
The team resulted from a class project, which is supervised by Dr. Tan Booi Chen, participated in the embedding entrepreneurial learning initiative funded by the Entrepreneur Development Centre (EDC) in 2018. This team is now undergoing the MMU Startup Scheme Development Program.
Two teams from MMU namely BoardBack and Reno4U under EDC were accepted into this challenge. In total, there were 122 teams from higher education institutions all around Malaysia applied to participate in the challenge. However, only 26 teams got selected into the four-day programme that guided the participants from the ideation stage to pitch day.
