Nine students and two lecturers from Faculty of Business (FOB) paid a visit to Centre for Developmental Disabilities, Wings Melaka recently. The visit was a part of the University Social Responsibility (USR) project, which aimed to cultivate the culture of caring and loving as well as helping those with disabilities.

Wings Melaka is a not-for-profit organisation providing a range of programmes designed to help people, especially children, with learning disabilities and their families. While the initial focus of Wings Melaka programmes was on younger children, over the years, Wings Melaka expanded its programmes to also include school-age children and young adults with learning disabilities.

Ms Joyce Lin, the representative from Wings Melaka explained on how the centre runs its daily activities and how they maximise the learning opportunities for disabled people through creative activities that can help them in achieving their full potential. The FOB lecturers and students cleaned the activity rooms during the visit. The management of Wings Melaka was happy and grateful with the volunteers to help for a good cause.
