Gearing up for Career Opportunity and Capturing Students’ Innovation during Infineon Week 2019

Multimedia University and Infineon Technologies (M) Sdn Bhd collaborated again in organising Infineon Week 2019 in Melaka campus recently. The programme featured many activities including career talk, job interview, Project and Poster Competition and a plant visit to Infineon Technologies Melaka which were attended by students from both the Faculty of Engineering and Technology (FET) and the Faculty of Information Science and Technology (FIST).

The career talk was conducted separately for both faculties and the MMU alumni were the speakers of the talk. They shared their exciting working experience which inspired and motivated their fellow juniors. Final year students also attended the job interview session which is a good opportunity for graduating students to obtain a job offer upon graduation. Besides that, a series of innovative projects was showcased during the Project and Poster Competition as the competition encourages the students to go beyond and be different from others.

Prof. Ir. Dr. Hairul Azhar Abdul Rashid, Vice President of Research and Innovation graced the closing ceremony with Mr. Lee Chee Hong, the President and Managing Director of Infineon. The prize-giving ceremony was also held during the closing ceremony. The factory visit to Infineon plant in Batu Berendam, Melaka marked the final activity of the Infineon Week 2019. The students gained new insights and experience in the production of chips, which is one of the main products of Infineon. In a nutshell, Infineon Week 2019 was a success! Views and innovative ideas were exchanged and fruitful relationships are established between Multimedia University and Infineon Technologies.
