Understanding Logistic Operations of an International Business Transaction

About 19 students from the Faculty of Business (FOB) were able to have first-hand knowledge on activities in a port when they visited Northport in Port Klang recently.

The students were able to view the actual facilities available as Northport is one of the largest multi-purpose ports in Malaysia. The port handles a wide variety of cargoes ranging from containers to cars, breakbulk cargoes as well as capacity to handle liquid and dry bulk cargoes of all types and shipment sizes. Its facilities are located at two locations in Northport Southpoint for conventional cargo handling while Northport where state-of-the-art container handling facilities are located. Northport logistics further adds value to the business entity. The students were accompanied by Dr Susan Chin, the lecturer for International Business FOB.
