Nurturing Safer and Professional Approach of Digital Footprint amongst High School Students

A group of lecturers from Faculty of Business (FOB) initiated a campaign of managing digital footprint to 168 Form 3 students in Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Infant Jesus Convent (IJC), Melaka, recently.

With the advancement of technology, it is vital for people to know that digital footprint which marks our unique online identity has its own impact. Hence, the essence of the programme catered of practicing safer and professional social media etiquette amongst high school students. Mdm Hasmida Jamaluddin shared her valuable insights on ‘Managing Digital Footprint for a Better and Safer Tomorrow’. The students were also engaged in activities with the facilitators that signify online concerns such as cyberbullying, social media etiquette, selfie habits and others.

Students and teachers of IJC expressed their positive remarks of the topics and activities rendered by FOB in an informative and hospitable manner. Some students mentioned that this programme has changed their perceptions on taking online matters nonchalantly. Furthermore, they feel the activities conducted have enhanced their rapport among friends, teamwork and communication skills significantly.
