On 18 April 2025, 18 Mechanical Engineering undergraduates, along with five academic staff members, including Prof. Dr. Wong Eng Kiong, Vice President of Student Experience and Entrepreneurship Development, embarked on an insightful industrial visit to Olympic Cable Company Sdn. Bhd. in Krubong, Melaka. The visit provided students with a unique opportunity to explore the cable manufacturing process and witness how engineering principles are applied in a live industrial setting.
The delegation was warmly welcomed by Mr. Edmund Chong, the CEO of Olympic Cable, and his management team, who offered an in-depth overview of the company’s operations. The students toured the production facility, gaining valuable exposure to the intricate processes involved in manufacturing high-quality cables.
