FCA Welcomes New Trimester with Raya-Themed Gathering

The Faculty of Cinematic Arts (FCA) marked the beginning of the new semester with a Welcoming Party held on Friday, 11 April 2025, at the Student Lounge. The event took on a special Raya theme, blending the warmth of tradition with the excitement of a new academic chapter. The evening brought together new students, current cohorts, and faculty staff for a celebration of community, culture, and achievement.

Students and staff arrived dressed in their finest Baju Raya, embracing the festive spirit and adding to the vibrant atmosphere. The event was also a platform to recognise the academic achievements of FCA students, with the Dean’s List Ceremony for Semester 2430. This ceremony celebrated the hard work and dedication of students who had excelled academically, setting a high standard for the semester ahead.

The event featured a delectable spread of traditional Malaysian delicacies, including rendang, lemang, and a wide assortment of kuih-muih, ensuring that everyone’s culinary cravings were satisfied. The festivities continued with an array of fun-filled games, which fostered interaction and camaraderie among students and staff alike.
