The Cinematic Arts Society hosted Diari Filem, a session where industry professionals shared their experiences and insights. This edition featured Farah Ahmad and Mhia Firdaus, two inspiring figures in the Malaysian film industry, who engaged the audience with their journeys, challenges, and aspirations on 27 February 2025 at the Student Lounge, Faculty of Cinematic Arts (FCA).

Farah Ahmad, an award-winning actress known for her roles in Roh (2019), Jibam (2017), and Laluna (2024), shared her experiences of working in the industry. She spoke about her dedication to storytelling, the lessons she has learned, and the evolving landscape of Malaysian cinema.

Mhia Firdaus, an emerging talent, reflected on her early career and what it means to follow in her family’s footsteps. Gaining recognition for her role as Che Khun in the drama series Khunsa, she discussed the challenges of being a young actress and her aspirations for the future.

The session offered students and film enthusiasts a rare opportunity to connect with these two talented women, gaining valuable insights into the world of film and theatre. It was an inspiring evening that left many motivated to pursue their own creative paths.
