MMU hosted Majlis Berbuka Puasa MMU Bersama Media 2025 at Mercure Living Putrajaya Hotel on 6 March 2025, bringing together key media partners to foster closer ties and share exciting developments at the university. The event, graced by Prof. Dato’ Dr. Mazliham Mohd Su’ud, President of MMU, along with senior leaders, also served as a platform to recognise the invaluable contribution of the media members in delivering information to the public about the university. Also present was Tuan Buqhairah Tuan Muhamad Adnan, President of the Putrajaya Media Club, further fostering the collaborative relationship between MMU and the media fraternity.
During the event, Prof. Dato’ Dr. Mazliham announced an exciting milestone — the establishment of the Faculty of Artificial Intelligence & Engineering (FAIE), which will officially replace the current Faculty of Engineering (FOE). The official launch of FAIE is expected to take place in mid-2025. This new faculty will drive AI-focused education and research, preparing students to meet future industry demands. With the introduction of this faculty, MMU will also launch a new programme, Bachelor of Science (Hons.) (Applied AI), a full-time three-year course set to commence in the July 2025 intake.
In addition to this new programme, several existing programmes across multiple faculties have also been enhanced with AI components to future-proof graduates with advanced technological competencies. These include the Bachelor of Computer Science (Hons.) (Artificial Intelligence) and the Master of Information Technology (AI & Cybersecurity), both offered by the Faculty of Information Science and Technology (FIST), while the Master of Computer Science (via Online and Distance Learning – ODL) is offered by the Faculty of Computing and Informatics (FCI). MMU also took the opportunity to update media representatives on upcoming student intakes for March and April 2025, as well as various financial aid options and scholarships available for prospective students.
