MMU has entered into a strategic partnership with UniPin (M) Sdn. Bhd., a leading digital entertainment enabler, to foster industry-academic collaboration. The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed on 4 February 2025 at the Cyberjaya campus by Prof. Dato’ Dr. Mazliham Mohd Su’ud, President of MMU, and Ms. Debora Imanuella, Senior Vice President of UniPin.

This collaboration aims to strengthen the esports ecosystem at MMU while creating a dynamic learning environment for students. The partnership will provide programmes aimed at developing local esports leaders and talents in the university while at the same time creating project-based learning opportunities, internships, and industry exposure for students. Additionally, the initiative will include knowledge-sharing sessions through forums, seminars, and workshops, focusing on soft skills, leadership, and professional development.

Through this MoU, MMU and UniPin reaffirm their commitment to bridging the gap between academia and industry, fostering innovation, and empowering students with invaluable career opportunities in the digital entertainment and esports sectors. The signing ceremony was attended by Ir. Prof. Dr. Zulfadzli Yusoff, Vice President of Market Exploration, Engagement, and Touchpoint (MEET); Assoc. Prof. Ts. Dr. Junaidi Abdullah, Dean of the Faculty of Computing and Informatics (FCI); faculty members; representatives from Student Lifestyle and Experience (STyLE); and MMU officers. The MMU Esports Club committee members led by their President Aiden Chan Kai Ming were also there to support the event.
