A team of five students from the Faculty of Law (FOL) clinched the consolation prize, valued at RM2,000, at the prestigious Suruhanjaya Syarikat Malaysia (SSM) Business Combat: Program Usahawan Muda (PUM) Peringkat Kebangsaan held on 15 to 16 January 2025 at the Dewan Agong Tuanku Canselor (DATC), Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) Shah Alam.

The team known as The Loyers, comprised Tan Zhi Chung, Ain Farahana Mazdin Abdullah, Eng Zhi Qi, Lim Ker Ming, and Pavit Coran. Guided by the Entrepreneurship Development Centre (EDC), they impressed the judges with their innovative project titled “Kedekut: It’s Okay to be Stingy.”

Their project introduced a creative financial literacy card game aimed at simplifying and gamifying the concept of money management. The game combines fun and education, making financial literacy more engaging and accessible to people of all ages.

Competing against numerous teams nationwide, The Loyers distinguished themselves with their ingenuity, teamwork, and commitment, ultimately earning a well-deserved spot among the winners of this national-level competition.
