The MMU x JustGood “Nasi Goreng” Social Media Challenge, a dynamic collaboration between the Faculty of Management (FOM) and JustGood, a Malaysian-based company renowned for its innovative products, culminated in a vibrant prize-giving ceremony held on 17 January 2025. This initiative, designed to combine entrepreneurial learning with creative content development, saw enthusiastic participation from close to 100 students from the Entrepreneurship class under the guidance of Dr. Mohd Fairuz Abd Rahim.

Participants were tasked with creating engaging social media content showcasing the chefs of JustGood demonstrating their culinary expertise in preparing Malaysia’s beloved dish, nasi goreng (fried rice), using ingredients from JustGood’s extensive product range. Beyond providing quality food products, JustGood is also involved in modern agricultural innovation, employing cutting-edge techniques in its farm modalities. The company also prioritizes fostering purposeful engagements, collaborations, and partnerships with stakeholders across the food production chain.

Over three weeks, the students exhibited remarkable creativity, determination, and resourcefulness, producing high-quality social media content shared across platforms like Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook. Judged on creativity, quality, audience reach, and engagement, these posts collectively amassed an impressive 100,000 total views.

The winners were announced during the closing ceremony, with prizes presented by Mr. Zachary Aman, Managing Director of JustGood Group. Team Poke & Co claimed first place and received RM2,000, followed by Team The Egroll in second place with RM1,500, and Team La Victoire in third place with RM1,000.

The ceremony was also attended by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tan Booi Chen, Deputy Dean (Research & Industry Collaborations), and Dr. Abby Ashraff Saprudin, Deputy Dean (Student Experience & Alumni), along with members of the JustGood management team.

This challenge not only strengthened ties between MMU and JustGood but also showcased the innovative spirit and talent of MMU students. The collaboration highlighted the power of creative content as a tool for education and industry engagement.

Well done!
