Four lecturers from the Faculty of Business (FOB) conducted a specialised training session for 14 academics at the Shipping and Aviation College (SAC) in Tampin, Negeri Sembilan, from 15 to 16 January 2025. This two-day program focused on advancing pedagogical approaches under the framework of the Educator Advancement Initiative: Pedagogy Training. The lecturers were Dr. Afandi Yusof, Dr Faezah Othman, Mr. Vincent Chan and Ms. Ikha Fadzila.
The training was initiated as a continuation of SAC’s visit to FOB in December 2024. The session aimed to address SAC’s interest in enhancing their teaching methodologies and academic strategies. The four key areas of focus were effective teaching methods, teaching and technology design, constructive alignment, and student psychology & classroom management.
The FOB lecturers shared their expertise and best practices, equipping participants with innovative approaches to optimize teaching and learning processes. This initiative underscores a collaborative effort to elevate educational strategies within SAC by integrating diverse and effective teaching methodologies. Additionally, it reinforces academic partnerships within the education sector, fostering greater collaboration and professional development among educators. Such strategic initiatives reflect a shared commitment to educational excellence and the continuous improvement of teaching and learning practices.
