On 8 January 2025, the Faculty of Business (FOB) took a significant step in nurturing entrepreneurial talent by organising a talk aimed at promoting the e-Cadet initiative among its students. The session featured Ms. Rajasri Balakrishna, a representative from the Entrepreneurship Development Centre (EDC), who presented the benefits and opportunities that e-Cadet offers, targeting second and final-year students.
Ms. Rajasri highlighted the essential role e-Cadet plays as a premier platform for aspiring entrepreneurs, providing them with practical tools, resources, and mentorship to kickstart and sustain successful ventures. The initiative equips students with hands-on entrepreneurial skills, exposure to market dynamics, and the ability to network with industry leaders and peers. These elements are crucial in fostering a mindset of innovation and resilience in the highly competitive business world.
The talk received an enthusiastic response, particularly from students intending to continue their family business legacy. Many attendees expressed their keen interest in joining the e-Cadet program, recognising its potential to significantly enhance their family business’s visibility and growth in the future. The program’s tailored approach to addressing real-world business challenges resonated deeply with the audience, affirming its relevance to their professional aspirations.
As one of the best platforms for students aiming to become successful entrepreneurs, e-Cadet offers a unique blend of theoretical knowledge and practical application. Participants gain access to workshops, business simulation exercises, and competitions that refine their skills and broaden their horizons. By engaging with this initiative, students not only prepare themselves for personal entrepreneurial success but also contribute to broader economic growth and innovation.
The faculty remains committed to fostering an environment that supports student entrepreneurship and professional excellence. With initiatives like e-Cadet, the faculty ensures its students are well-equipped to lead and thrive in the dynamic world of business.
