A delegation from the Kaafu Atoll Council, led by its President, Mr. Ahmed Anees, made a visit to Cyberjaya campus on 16 December 2024. The delegation was warmly welcomed by Prof. Dato’ Dr. Mazliham Mohd Su’ud, President of MMU, along with the university’s senior management team. The visit provided an excellent platform to discuss the development of a short training course tailored for the administrative staff of island councils and to explore broader collaborative opportunities. This initiative aims to enhance capacity-building efforts and foster closer ties between MMU and the Kaafu Atoll Council.
During their visit, the delegation was given a guided tour of the campus, including stops at the Faculty of Engineering (FOE) and the Faculty of Creative Multimedia (FCM), where they gained insights into MMU’s cutting-edge facilities and academic expertise. The visit was also participated by Mr. Zambri Pawanchik, Vice President of Strategic Marketing, Admission, and Recruitment (SMART); Dr. Mokhtaruddin Ahmad, Dean of the Faculty of Applied Communication (FAC); Ts. Dr. Low Jing Hong, Dean of the Faculty of Management (FOM); Ms. Nadia Mahmud, Dean of the Faculty of Creative Multimedia; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ooi Chee Pun, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering; and the International Student Recruitment (ISR) team.
