On 18 December 2024, the Faculty of Business (FOB) organised a hybrid industrial talk featuring one of its alumni, Ms. Vishanthini Veerasingam, a graduate of the BBA (Hons) Human Resource Management program, who now serves as the HR Manager at brandME Associate Sdn. Bhd. During her one-hour session, titled “Modern HR Practices: Strategies for the Workplace,” Ms. Vishanthini captivated university students with invaluable insights into the evolving world of human resources. She emphasised the importance of setting individual goals, being proactive in the workplace, and adopting effective strategies to transition from internships to full-time employment. Furthermore, she outlined the diverse opportunities available at brandME, which operates in Malaysia and internationally.
Ms. Vishanthini’s talk also exemplified how alumni contributions enrich the academic journey for current students. By sharing her expertise and professional journey, she inspires and prepares MMU’s future leaders for success in the global job market. The faculty extends its heartfelt appreciation to Ms. Vishanthini for her continuous support and commitment to giving back to her alma mater. The session concluded with an engaging Q&A, where students gained further clarity on career pathways and global HR trends.
