A momentous occasion unfolded during the MMU Convocation Ceremony 2024, held on 7 December 2024, as 40 officials from the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) received their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degrees. The graduates were celebrated for their dedication to advancing their knowledge and skills, a milestone that reflects MMU’s commitment to nurturing leaders for the nation’s digital transformation.
Prof. Dato’ Dr. Mazliham Mohd Su’ud, President of MMU, extended his heartfelt congratulations to the graduates. He emphasised that the university’s MBA program is meticulously designed to equip students with the competencies to lead teams, manage projects, and drive innovation in Malaysia’s rapidly evolving digital landscape.
The MBA program is a cornerstone of MCMC’s Accelerated Leadership Program (ALPs), a pioneering initiative aimed at cultivating future-ready leaders. ALPs is rooted in the “Learn, Apply, and Share” framework, an innovative model developed by MCMC to inspire transformative leadership. This dynamic program seamlessly integrates academic excellence, professional certification, and hands-on experiential learning, aligning with broader national development objectives. This programme was coordinated by CNERGY and Faculty of Business (FOB).
As part of their journey, the graduates gained industry-recognised credentials, including the PRINCE2 certification—a globally renowned project management methodology. This credential complemented their MBA studies, enhancing their critical skill sets and ensuring they are well-prepared for complex challenges in their roles.
Beyond academic achievement, the MCMC officials actively participated in global innovation competitions and conferences, earning accolades that underscore their commitment to excellence. They also demonstrated leadership as ambassadors in community initiatives such as the Microsoft AI TEACH MCMC program. This initiative, embodying the spirit of “paying it forward,” empowers communities by raising awareness about artificial intelligence (AI) and fostering essential AI skills among diverse groups. The comprehensive training and experiences provided through the MBA program and ALPs not only prepare these graduates to contribute significantly to MCMC’s mission but also position them as catalysts for Malaysia’s progress in the digital era.
Congratulations!
