On 26 November 2024, a delegation from Lembaga Zakat Selangor (LZS), led by its Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Mr. Mohd. Sabirin Mohd. Sarbani made a visit to Cyberjaya campus. The delegation was greeted by MMU President, Prof. Dato’ Dr. Mazliham Mohd. Su’ud, along with Ms. Nor Adni Ismail, Vice President of Finance & Business Ventures, Ms. Nur Azurah Rezo, Academic Registrar, representatives from Yayasan Universiti Multimedia (YUM) and the Bursary Unit.
The visit provided an excellent platform for MMU and LZS to discuss several collaborative initiatives, including the Bantuan Dermasiswa Pengajian Tinggi programme, which aims to support students financially and promote academic excellence. Discussions also touched on student achievements, ongoing support measures, and potential strategies to enhance assistance for students in need.
The meeting underscored both parties’ commitment to fostering educational equity and empowering students to achieve their full potential. Additionally, students were invited to the meeting for a meet-and-greet session during the visit. MMU expressed its gratitude for LZS’s continued contributions, which play a crucial role in the university’s mission to nurture future-ready graduates. This visit is yet another testament to the robust partnership between MMU and LZS, paving the way for more impactful collaborations to benefit students and the broader community.
