Multimedia University (MMU) has taken a significant step forward in advancing Artificial Intelligence (AI) education and industry collaboration by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Intel on 18 October 2024. The agreement was signed by Prof. Dato’ Dr. Mazliham Mohd Su’ud, President of MMU, and Mr. Eric WP Chan, Vice President of the Network and Edge Solutions Group (NESG) and General Manager of Customer Application Support and Enabling (CASE) at Intel Corporation.

This transformative partnership aims to focus on several key areas that will shape the future of AI education. These include establishing sustained collaboration to ensure workforce readiness in AI, developing a dynamic curriculum aligned with industry trends and advancements in AI, creating programs for skill development and continuous learning, and engaging in collaborative AI research projects. The MoU represents a commitment from both institutions to equip students with the skills necessary to excel in the rapidly evolving AI landscape.

The signing ceremony was also attended by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ooi Chee Pun, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering (FOE), and Datin Noorlindah Hassan, Director of Government Liaisons and Industry Engagement (GLIE), further underscoring the collaborative spirit and dedication of both MMU and Intel to foster innovation and education in AI.
