VR Student and Team Clinch All-Star Team Award at Sustainability Innovation Challenge 2024

A big congratulations to Teoh Sing Jian, a Virtual Reality student from the Faculty of Creative Multimedia, and his team, which included one student from Universitas Multimedia Nusantara (Indonesia) and two students from Nanyang Polytechnic (Singapore), for clinching the prestigious “All-Star Team” award at the Sustainability Innovation Challenge 2024 in Indonesia. Their team was recognized as the most dynamic group, thanks to their outstanding collaboration and innovation during the competition.

The team’s winning solution involved developing a cutting-edge prototype using Unity software, which they presented as part of their final project. Their creative approach and dedication earned them top recognition at the international competition, which ran from 15 to 27 September 2024. The Sustainability Innovation Challenge brought together students from Universitas Multimedia Nusantara (Indonesia), Nanyang Polytechnic (Singapore), and MMU to address critical sustainability issues. The challenge was supported by Jejakin, a leading provider of sustainability solutions, further highlighting the event’s global significance.

Teoh and his team’s hard work paid off, as they not only earned the “All-Star Team” accolade but also attracted interest from a company keen to invest in Jejakin’s products. This exciting development opens the door for further collaborations on sustainability initiatives, demonstrating the real-world impact of their efforts.
