The grand finale of the MMU Talent Showcase concluded with great success on 22 August 2024, as nine talented finalists took to the stage in a thrilling competition. The event was honored by the presence of MMU President, Prof. Dato’ Dr. Mazliham Mohd Su’ud, and Prof. Ir. Dr. Hairul Azhar Abdul Rashid, who also presented the awards to the winners.
The competition featured remarkable performances across various categories, shining a spotlight on the diverse talents within the MMU community. Adrus Aqasha bin Mohd Faris from the Faculty of Applied Communication (FAC) emerged as the champion, taking home the grand prize of RM1,500 and a plaque. Trisha Nabila Chan from the Faculty of Management (FOM) claimed the first runner-up position, while Dr. Aaron Aw Teik Hong, also from FOM, secured second runner-up. Both delivered exceptional performances, earning cash prizes of RM1,000 and RM500, along with plaques, respectively.
The Veversa Dance Crew, with their dynamic performance, captivated the audience and won the Audience Choice Award. They were awarded RM150 and a plaque for their popular performance.
Organised by Yayasan Universiti Multimedia (YUM), the Talent Showcase successfully highlighted the hidden creative talents within the university’s vibrant community. It provided a platform for both staff and students to express their artistic abilities, fostering a spirit of unity and celebration through creativity.
