A group of 50 MMU students from various faculties participated in an enriching industrial visit to Playstation Studios Malaysia in Selangor on July 6, 2024. Organised by the Game Developers Club, this visit provided students with a valuable glimpse into the operations of a leading game studio in Malaysia and deepened their understanding of game development processes.

The visit commenced with a guided tour of the studio led by Mr. Bazil Akmal Bidin, Manager of Operations and Development. Mr. Bazil offered fascinating insights into the studio’s objectives and the intellectual property projects currently underway.

Following the tour, students attended an informative session on career opportunities within the games industry, complemented by a workshop focused on mapping out career paths in game development. The participants also engaged actively in a Q&A session with Mr. Bazil, gaining further insights into the industry.

Overall, the visit significantly enhanced the students’ knowledge of the Malaysian games industry and underscored the university’s commitment, through its clubs and societies, to fostering strong industry connections. This commitment enriches learning experiences and equips students with the skills necessary for successful careers in game development.
