An online speech contest hosted by the King Sejong Institute (KSI) MMU Melaka took place on 15 June 2024. The event commenced with an inaugural speech by Dr. Ong Sue Lyn, Director of the Learning Institute for Empowerment (LiFE) and KSI MMU Melaka. A total of 20 participants registered for this fourth edition of the contest, which was divided into two categories: beginner and intermediate.

Nur Izzatul Batrisyia Binti Mohd Azri from Sekolah Menengah Sains Johor (SMSJ) emerged as the winner in the beginner category, while Siti Nor Amy Amira Binti Abdullah from Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) secured the top position in the intermediate category. Each winner received Korean skincare products valued at RM300, plaques, and certificates.

Additionally, the intermediate category winner earned the opportunity to represent KSI MMU Melaka at the King Sejong Institute Foundation in South Korea for the final round of competition. Furthermore, the contest featured a quiz session where 10 participants won exclusive KSI MMU Melaka merchandise. It is hoped that this contest will continue to promote the Korean language, fostering heightened interest and enthusiasm for both the language and culture.

Well done!
