The Faculty of Business (FOB) hosted a visit from Mr. Kenneth Wee Kee Ann, the industrial advisor for the Bachelor of Business Administration (Hons.) International Business programme in May 2024. Mr. Wee, the founder and CEO of Total Agri Marketing Sdn. Bhd. and TAM Nexus Sdn. Bhd., has an impressive track record, serving as the Director of Asia for the Idaho Potato Commission and the Regional Market Representative for California Milk (USA).  

The event kicked off with faculty updates by Dr. Hasmida Jamaluddin, Deputy Dean (Academic & International Relations). This was followed by programme updates from Dr. Hew Wee Lim, Head of the Department of International Business. Mr. Wee later engaged in meaningful discussions with students and departmental staff, reviewed the programme curriculum, and delivered an insightful talk on business strategies to remain competitive and adaptable in changing market conditions. The event also included a review of future strategic directions for the programme. Also in attendance were Dr. Siti Zakiah Melatu Samsi, FOB Dean; Dr. Yeo Sook Fern, Deputy Dean (Research, Industrial Collaboration & Engagements); and Dr. Afandi Yusof, Deputy Dean (Student Experience & Alumni).  

Mr. Wee’s extensive experience in facilitating trade and market expansion provided invaluable insights, ensuring that the International Business programme continues to meet industry standards and remain relevant to global business needs. His input is crucial in maintaining the programme’s effectiveness and alignment with the dynamic demands of the international business landscape.
