Team Potassium K+, which comprises Mathavan A/L Krishnan, Nicole Ha Yah Yie, Tan Juan Kai from the Faculty of Information Science and Technology (FIST), and Surenthar A/L Rajamohan from Universiti Malaya (UM), bagged the 2nd runner-up spot in the Young CEO Challenge 2023 on 14 October 2023.

The team walked away with a cash prize of RM900. The Young CEO Challenge was organised by INTEC Education College and supported by ACCA, Deloitte, KPMG, PWC and EY. This challenge aims to expose participants to real-life case studies and bridge the gap between industry players and students.

It consists of 3 rounds, which comprise the preliminary round, the second round, and the final round.  Both the preliminary round and the second round are based on a case study. In the preliminary round, the participant is exposed to the retail and e-commerce industry and its corporate challenges.

Besides that, participants need to analyse and produce different sources of funding for a company. There were multiple students from various universities, such as Universiti Malaya (UM), INTEC, and Universiti Tenaga Nasional (UNITEN). Mentored by Mr. Vincent Chan from the Faculty of Business (FOB) and Dr. Noridayu Binti Abdullah Sani (FOB), the team successfully completed their case study for both the preliminary and second rounds.

Congratulations!
