A total of 15 distinguished Malaysian government officials took part in a five-day training in Paris, France from 18 September until 22 September 2023. Hosted by Cnergy, the programme shared the same mission- to lead Malaysia’s digital transformation in a rapidly evolving global landscape, particularly in the realms of 5G technology, 3D innovation, and the emerging metaverse.

His Excellency Dato’ Mohd Zamruni Khalid, Malaysia’s Ambassador to France graced the closing ceremony with his presence. Prof. Dato’ Dr. Mazliham Mohd Su’ud, President of MMU, Mr. Norkhairul Wahab, CEO of Cnergy and Datin Noorlindah Hassan,  Government Liaison & Industry Engagement (GLIE) were also present during the event.

The participants experienced classroom training at Mines Paris PSL, which is recognised as one of the best Engineering Schools in France. This training has mirrored Malaysia’s steadfast commitment to digital progress, prominently exemplified by MyDIGITAL. This forward-looking blueprint emphasises e-commerce, digital infrastructure, and talent development, with a special focus on the transformative powers of 5G, immersive 3D technologies, and the uncharted territories of the metaverse.

During the programme, the participants also had the opportunity to visit prominent technology giants Alstom, Engie and Schneider Electrics. These visits offered invaluable insights into cutting-edge technologies and industry innovations, complementing the program’s mission of embracing the digital future.

The participants also received warm welcome from Mr. Mohd Nazim Anas, representative of the Malaysian Embassy in Paris, who is also our alumnus. Mr. Mohd Nazim graduated with a bachelor’s degree in information technology, majoring in Information Systems Engineering in 2002.

The presence of His Excellency Dato’ Mohd Zamruni Khalid, the visits to Alstom and Schneider Electrics, and the warm embrace extended by Mr. Nazim collectively underscores MMU’s commitment to shaping a brighter, digitally immersive future for Malaysia.

Well done!
