A significant event transpired as the newly appointed committee members of MESRA convened for their inaugural meeting with Prof. Dato’ Dr. Mazliham Mohd Su’ud, President of MMU on 16 August 2023 at the Melaka campus. The session was also attended by Dr. Afandi Yusof, the newly appointed MESRA president, who undertook the responsibility of presenting the newly constituted MESRA executive and sub-committees. The ambit of this composition encompassed the prospective tenure from 2023 through 2025, thereby indicating a visionary approach towards long-term planning and stability.
In a display of meticulous forethought, a comprehensive array of strategic initiatives was unveiled to Prof. Dato’ Dr. Mazliham. These initiatives, while diverse in nature, were underpinned by a unified objective: to foster the betterment of MESRA’s membership in multifaceted dimensions. Notably, the strategies spanned the domains of health, philanthropy, and overall well-being. By holistically addressing these aspects, the aim was to ensure that every member of MESRA would experience a tangible and positive impact on their lives.
As the discourse unfolded, Prof. Dato’ Dr. Mazliham also contributed a series of discerning observations. These insights were tailored to augment the execution of MESRA’s activities. Of paramount importance was the emphasis on optimising the efficiency of implementation, thus ensuring that the proposed initiatives could seamlessly materialise. Moreover, Prof. Dato’ Dr. Mazliham underscored the criticality of elevating the visibility of MESRA within the larger framework of the university. This strategic move not only ensures the resonance of MESRA’s endeavours but also expands its influence, ultimately benefiting the entire staff community.
