On 26 June 2023, a group of Faculty of Engineering (FOE) students from Cyberjaya had the chance to visit the Huawei Customer Solution Innovation Centre (CSIC) located at the Integra Tower in Kuala Lumpur. The visit was part of the industrial exposure under the subject ETN2046 Fundamental of Wireless Communications which is a core subject for second year Bachelor of Engineering (Hons.) Electronics majoring in Telecommunications students.
The group consists of 9 students accompanied by Prof. Dr. Mohamad Yusoff Alias, who is one of the lecturers teaching the subject. The group was greeted by a group of Huawei’s representatives who started off with explanations of the opportunities at Huawei as well as the directions that Huawei is going.
During the tour of the centre, the students were not only exposed to the current technologies such as the fifth generation (5G) network and data centres that Huawei is currently promoting but also to the idea of an Intelligent World by 2030. One of the telecommunication engineers at Huawei also explained the experience of working as an engineer at the company. It is hoped that the students gained beneficial experience for their industrial knowledge.
