Multimedia University (MMU) and Infineon Technologies (M) Sdn. Bhd. marked the ninth year of the collaboration by organising another Infineon Week at MMU Melaka campus recently. The Infineon Week 2018 was a series of programmes led by Engineering Society committee for MMU Engineering and Information Technologies (IT) students which included a lot of interesting activities such as Career Talk, Interview Session and Research Poster & Innovative Project Competition.
An interview session was held for third and final year students for newly recruits, internship students as well as for Booster Programme. Other than attracting top talents, this session aimed to increase the chances of the students to pass the interview stage and eventually getting a job offer. The Booster Programme is a part of an industry drive in promoting technology innovation and talent among the fresh graduates, whereby they will be receiving mentors from different industry management staff. The most happening activity was the Research Poster & Innovative Project Competition, when a total of 20 technical posters and 20 innovative projects were presented by the participants. Through the competition, it fosters the innovation, ideas and creativity in the chosen fields in exhibiting the students’ and academicians’ erudition to the maximum.
The prize giving ceremony was attended by Dr. Lee Cheong Chee, the President & Managing Director of Infineon Technologies, Dr. Mohd Rizal Abdul Razak, the Campus Director of MMU Melaka, Assoc. Prof Fazly Salleh Abas, the Dean of Faculty of Engineering & Technology, Infineon management staff and the participants.
