MMU Dragon Boat Team’s Roaring Success in Bali

Between 10^th and 13^th May 2018, during the Bali International Boat Race Festival 2018, MMU’s Dragon Boat team snatched the gold medal for the 12 Mix Category.The Bali International Boat Race Festival is an annual event, and this year’s race was held at Pantai Kendongan, Jimbaran Bay, in Kuta, Indonesia. MMU beat seven other teams – which included the Brunei, Macau, and Bali dragon boat teams – to emerge as champion. Our team comprised of fourteen students, and was captained by Pang Chok Tung, while Mr. Zulfadili Hamzah from the Student Affairs Division accompanied them on the trip. We are very proud of them for bringing MMU’s name to the fore internationally, not just for academics, but also extra-curricular activities as well.
