On 25 May 2022, MMU launched King Sejong Institute (KSI)-MMU at Melaka campus to serve as a hub for promoting Korean language and culture.
KSI-MMU establishment will help enhance the greater global visibility of both institutions, serving as a platform to provide MMU students and the public with the opportunities to explore and experience the Korean world through a variety of events, competitions, and classes. MMU is one of the 25 new institutions that was selected out of 120 applications worldwide to be part of KSI.
The launching ceremony was graced by the Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Malaysia, His Excellency Mr. Lee Chi Beom, and witnessed by President of MMU, Prof. Dato’ Dr. Mazliham Mohd. Su’ud. Also attending the ceremony was Dr. Ong Sue Lyn, Director of KSI-MMU and the Dean of Faculty of Applied Communication (FAC).
