We would like to extend our heartiest congratulations to the project leaders namely Prof. Ir. Dr. Mohd Ridzuan Mokhtar from the Faculty of Engineering and Prof. Ir. Dr. Hairul Azhar Abdul Rashid, Vice President of Research, Industrial Collaborations, and Engagement for being selected to receive grants with the total amount of RM3, 645,400 at the PETRONAS-ACADEMIA Collaboration Dialogue on 7 March 2022 at Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC). Prof. Ir. Dr. Zulfadzli Yusoff, Director of Research Management Centre representing the MMU team to receive the official certificate of acceptance during the event.
MMU participated in this dialogue and presented five proposal papers, and two proposal papers were chosen titled ‘Multi-Sensory Distributed Optical Fiber Sensor Cable for Exploration and Production Phase’ and ‘Intelligent Radiation Survey Meter for TENORM Measurements of Tubulars’. The inaugural PETRONAS-ACADEMIA Collaboration Dialogue was organised by Malaysia Petroleum Management (MPM), which served as an avenue between academic and industry players in leveraging new technologies and research & development activities for mutual benefit. MMU was among 11 universities that were awarded the grant.
