We would like to extend our heartiest congratulations to the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers Multimedia University Student Branch (IEEE MMU SB) for winning five awards at the 2022 IEEE Malaysia AGM, recently. The IEEE MMU SB received the 2021 Outstanding Student Branch Award and was selected as 2nd runner up for the 2020 Outstanding Student Branch Award. On top of that, Hisham Neyaz won the 2021 Outstanding Student Volunteer Award, while Mohammed Hussein won the 2021 Outstanding YP Volunteer Award. Project E.D.Di.E (Everyone Deserves Digital Education) was also selected as the winner of the 2021 Activity Innovation Award.
The IEEE MMU SB always supports the IEEE’s initiatives to foster students’ technical skills, professional and personal development, social responsibilities, and leadership. They also have worked closely with industrial companies, student branches, clubs, and societies as well as faculties in the university as the collaboration partners. With a record of 226 members in 2021, IEEE MMU SB has accomplished a 106% growth in membership. Kudos to the IEEE MMU SB Committee 21-22, under the leadership of the Chair, Ms. Lim Min Ying, and its advisor, Prof. Dr. Mohamad Yusoff Alias.
