FOB Students Gain Exposure on Becoming Future Chartered Accountants

More than 30 Diploma in Accounting students from the Faculty of Business (FOB) participated in MIA Virtual Talk on 9 February 2022. The talk titled ‘Malaysian Institute of Accountants and The Accounting Profession in Malaysia’ was delivered by Ms. Hasmida Ismail, the Senior Executive from Competency Framework & Development Membership, Technology & Operations Division, Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA).

The objective of the talk was to expose the students to the roles of MIA, the pathway to becoming Chartered Accountant in Malaysia, the benefits and privileges of Chartered Accountant, career prospects in the accountancy profession, and skills required by next-generation accountants. It was an eye-opener session for them to be inspired to become future chartered accountants!
