Multimedia University (MMU) received a courtesy visit of 26 delegates from Sabah Creative Economy & Innovation Centre (SCENIC) and Sabah’s Government Stakeholders at Cyberjaya campus on 24th January 2022. The visit aimed to immerse the visitors on how the ecosystem of sandbox in MMU is being developed and hence the participants would be able to benchmark and strategically plan their contribution in creating a similar ecosystem in Sabah. The visit also served as a platform for network and collaboration opportunities with fellow MMU counterparts.
The delegates were welcomed with a presentation on Cinematic Arts, Creative Multimedia and Sandbox for High-tech Education by Ts. Amir Shahlan Amiruddin, Dean of the Faculty of Cinematic Arts (FCA), Dr. Lim Kok Yoong, Dean of the Faculty of Creative Multimedia (FCM), and Deputy Director of Industrial Collaboration & Engagement Centre (ICEC), Dr. Koo Ah Choo and Coordinator of Sandbox High Tech, Muhammad Nizam Zainudin.
Led by Viviante Sarjuni, General Manager of SCENIC, the representatives toured the campus and visited the faculties as well as newly launched learning spaces, HyFlex and HySpace at the Faculty of Engineering (FOE). Demonstration of the new learning spaces was presented by Dr. Jimmy Low. Prof. Dr. Ho Chin Kuan, Vice President of Academic and International Relations (VP AIR) also participated in the visit and presented souvenirs to the delegate at the end of the visit.
