Two projects, “PM Tepi” and “OGAE” led by Mr. Vincent Chan from the Faculty of Business (FOB) won first place and third place respectively at the Pertandingan Inovasi Terbuka Majlis Perbandaran Sepang in conjunction with Minggu Kualiti & Inovasi on 10 December 2021. The team members were Pendy Tok, Yow Yuen Li, Tan ZI Ching, Yow Li Wen and Khor Zhi Shan from the Faculty of Information Science and Technology (FIST) and Faculty of Computing and Informatics (FCI).

PM Tepi is a digitalised platform with unique features that provides a unique solution for Pasar Malam vendors that are badly affected by the pandemic. People can shop Pasar Malam items virtually and vendors also can continue their business from the comfort of their own homes. While, ‘OGAE’ is an immersive gamified blockchain e-commerce platform that allows merchants and customers to engage in a secure yet fun virtual environment.

Organised by Majlis Perbandaran Sepang, the virtual event aimed at supporting staff and innovators to think creatively in developing any innovative creation that gives a high impact. It also fosters teamwork spirit and boosts creative thinking culture in an organisation. The competition is open to all agencies, organisations and schools with three categories which covered transformation, prototype, and advanced.
