Multimedia University (MMU) Cyberjaya campus began its operation as an Integrated Mega Vaccine Delivery Centre (PPV) on 15th July 2021. Operations of the PPV was officially commenced with a doa recitation in the presence of Prof. Dato’ Dr. Mazliham Mohd. Su’ud, the President of MMU, officers from Ministry of Health (KKM), Ministry of Science, Technology, and Innovation (MOSTI), Majlis Daerah Sepang, Selangor State Government, Majlis Perbandaran Sepang, front liners, and volunteers.

During an interview with MMUTV, Prof. Dato’ Dr. Mazliham expressed his excitement that MMU is being part of the National COVID-19 Immunisation Programme. He uttered that the effort of setting up the vaccination centre in our campus helps to flatten the pandemic curve and at the same time to achieve herd immunity for the nation. On top of that, the programme serves as an avenue to bring the community closer to the varsity. The Integrated Mega PPV could accommodate the administration of 3,000 doses of vaccine per day, which reflects the university’s commitment towards social responsibility in supporting the programme to achieve its goals.

Apart from that, MMU Melaka campus has also served as one of the vaccination centres in Melaka since 16th June 2021. It could accommodate a total of 600 recipients daily for those who are living in Melaka and also the nearest locations to the PPV. As of today, nearly 10,000 people received their jabs at the centre. Thank you to all volunteers and medical team for ensuring the process went smoothly.

Let’s continue our effort to fight the COVID-19 battle, and let’s keep each other safe and healthy!
