Yayasan Universiti Multimedia (YUM) held a handover ceremony of laptops and tablet devices distribution to students and staff of Multimedia University (MMU) and Telekom Malaysia (TM) on 6th April 2021 in Cyberjaya. The learning equipment aids were presented by Prof. Dato’ Dr. Mazliham Mohd Su’ud, the President of Multimedia University (MMU) together with Mr. Zainuddin Johari, Head of Agency Management Department of Lembaga Zakat Selangor (LZS) and Dr. Ridzwan Bakar, the Director of YUM.
Through the zakat and donation funds, a total of 36 students received laptops and 128 families received the tablet devices in an effort to support online learning especially during this challenging time. In his speech, Prof. Mazliham expressed his gratitude to the zakat payers and donors for Also attending the ceremony were Prof. Ir. Dr, Hairul Azhar Abdul Rashid, Vice President of Research, Industrial Collaborations and Engagement (RICE), Mr. Rozhan Zainuddin, Vice President of Finance and Business Ventures; Mdm Hayati Othman, Senior Director of Human Capital Management (HCM); Prof. Madya Dr. Nahariah Jaffar, Vice Chairman of MMU Zakat Distribution Committee, representatives from LZS and MMU officials.
