A total of 300 staff from Telekom Malaysia (TM) participated in the TM Value Leadership Programme (VLP), which was officiated in a virtual event on 19 February 2021. Organised by Multimedia University, the event was graced by Group CEO of TM, Mr. Imri Mokhtar and President of MMU, Prof. Dato’ Dr. Mazliham Mohd Su’ud.

Also attending were Covering Chief Human Capital of TM, Puan Norhamijah Mohd. Hanafiah; Vice President, Research, Industrial Collaboration and Engagement, Prof. Ir. Dr Hairul Azhar Abdul Rashid; Vice President, Finance and Business Ventures, Mr. Rozhan Zainuddin, and CEO of Cynergy, Mr. Norkhairul Wahab.

TM VLP is curated and designed to develop the required mindset and behaviours of employees based on the TM SUCCESS and Digital Culture Enabler competency framework. This programme is the way towards a NEW TM agenda, which is fully supported by MMU. Guided by the TM Leadership Competencies, the programme offers a total of 57 high-impact modules for Job Bands 1,2 and 3. The participants in Job Band 1 are required to complete 30 modules, while participants in Job Bands 2 and 3 need to complete 32 modules, all in the span of two years’ period.

The programme also is embedded with selected Micro-Credential modules from Master of Business Administration (MBA), with a total of 4 subjects featured in the form of 13 modules under the VLP programme. Completion of the 13 modules would enable close to 35% credit transfer into the MBA programme should the participants plan to pursue the programme in MMU. In short, the participants will only need to undertake 7 remaining subjects and a final year project in order for them to graduate with the MBA. This VLP programme gives an opportunity to staff to not only develop and nurture the leadership skills, but also to advance their career with the MBA qualification.
