A total of 28 student teams participated in the fourth edition of Ingenious Mind Challenge 2020 (IMC 2020) recently. This virtual challenge was jointly hosted by the Faculty of Management Society, Entrepreneurship Development Centre (EDC), and Student Affairs Division (STAD), and the event was sponsored by Sime Darby Berhad for this year. With its theme “Soaring to Excellence in New Norms”, this competition focuses on identifying and solving social problems, thereby creating a social impact on the targeted community. The competition encouraged and guided the participants to be innovative and adaptive to the new normal, as an effect of the pandemic COVID-19.

IMC 2020 resembles the popular concept of “Start-up Weekend Camp”, whereby all participants will undergo a series of training, discussion, ideation, and pitching sessions over the course of two days. Focusing on the Idea Development Map (IDM), the camp was conducted by certified trainers namely Dr. Mohd Fairuz Abd Rahim, Dr. Ong Jeen Wei, and Dr. Abdul Aziz Ahmad. The closing ceremony was officiated by Prof. Dato’ Dr. Mazliham Mohd Su’ud, MMU President.  As a result, The Elite 5 emerged as the champion and received RM300 as well as a Special Award of RM3,000 Seed Fund from EDC.

Well done!
