On 17 April 2025, the Entrepreneurship Development Centre (EDC) (MMU) welcomed a delegation from the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Centre, Xiamen University (Sepang) for a meaningful knowledge-sharing session. The visit was hosted by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ong Jeen Wei, Director of Alumni Engagement, Career and Entrepreneurship Development (ACE), along with his dedicated EDC team.

A key highlight of the session was the introduction of the Southeast Asia Division Contest of the China International College Students’ Innovation Competition (SEA-CICSIC) 2025—an exciting international platform aimed at empowering young innovators and aspiring entrepreneurs. Representatives from Xiamen University shared insights into the competition’s objectives, structure, and impact, sparking interest among MMU’s entrepreneurial community.

The SEA-CICSIC 2025 serves as a launchpad for students across Southeast Asia to present their groundbreaking ideas and projects, engage in meaningful knowledge exchange, and connect with like-minded peers and industry experts. More than just a contest, it encourages cross-border collaboration and the pursuit of innovative solutions that address global challenges and support sustainable development goals. This visit marks another step in strengthening regional ties and fostering a vibrant entrepreneurial ecosystem within MMU and beyond.
