A group of lecturers and students from the Diploma Programme under the Faculty of Information Science and Technology (FIST) carried out a meaningful community outreach initiative at Asrama Pertubuhan Kebajikan Anak-Anak Yatim Islam Daerah Jasin, Melaka in March 2025.

In the spirit of compassion and unity, the team distributed essential food items and groceries to the orphans and asnaf at the centre. The aid was intended to ease their daily burdens and bring a sense of joy and care during the fasting season. All groceries were thoughtfully selected and purchased from a local supermarket, then delivered directly to the welfare home.

The initiative was made possible through contributions from the team members themselves, who pooled their resources to fund the aid. It also helped nurture a sense of social responsibility among students through meaningful community engagement. The visit provided an opportunity to connect with the local community and give back during the fasting month.
