MMU Community Celebrates Unity and Festivity at Majlis Sambutan Aidilfitri 2025

In the true spirit of harmony and celebration, MMU brought festive cheer to its Melaka campus with the Majlis Sambutan Aidilfitri 2025, held on 16 April 2025. The joyous gathering brought together university leaders, faculty members, staff, students, and invited guests in a colourful showcase of culture, unity, and shared traditions.

The event was graced by Tun Dato’ Seri Zaki Tun Azmi, Chancellor of MMU; Mr. Ahmad Taufek Omar, Chairman of the MMU Board of Directors; and Prof. Dato’ Dr. Mazliham Mohd Su’ud, President of MMU, along with members of the university’s senior management. Prof. Dato’ Dr. Mazliham took the opportunity to engage and mingle warmly with members of the university community at the event.

The festivities featured a vibrant array of traditional Hari Raya delicacies and creatively decorated booths representing various halls. Guests were also treated to engaging cultural performances that added flair and rhythm to the afternoon. A highlight of the event was the announcement of the Best Dressed of the Day and Best Stall awards, with winners receiving prizes presented by Prof. Dato’ Dr. Mazliham.

Jointly organised by the Human Capital Management (HCM), Corporate Communication Department (CCD), and Student Lifestyle & Experience (STyLE), the celebration embodied MMU’s commitment to nurturing a holistic campus life. The event not only honoured Malaysian cultural traditions but also strengthened the spirit of kinship and gratitude among members of the MMU family.
