MMU Clinches Employer’s Choice University for Two Consecutive Years

Multimedia University (MMU) has once again achieved a remarkable milestone by being awarded the Employer’s Choice of University in the 2025 Talentbank National Graduate Employability Index (GE Index) — for the second consecutive year.

The award was received by Prof. Dr. Wong Eng Kiong, Vice President of Student Experience and Entrepreneurship Development (VP SEED), in the presence of Datuk Ts. Mustapha Sakmud, Deputy Minister of Higher Education Malaysia, and Mr. Ben Ho, Founder and CEO of Talentbank. The ceremony took place at EQ Kuala Lumpur on 22 April 2025 and was attended by other esteemed guests.

MMU received the highest 6-star ratings for Employability Ratings by Subjects in Animation (champion), Arts & Design, Communication & Broadcasting, Computing & IT, Economics, Engineering (Mechanical), and Law. This prestigious recognition is based on surveys conducted among top graduate employers, highlighting MMU’s consistent track record in producing highly sought-after graduates.

The acknowledgment reinforces MMU’s strong reputation for academic excellence, industry relevance, and graduate employability. The Employers’ Choice Award, inspired by the renowned Graduates’ Choice Award, honours educational institutions that are celebrated for cultivating career-ready graduates who meet the evolving demands of the job market.

Held in conjunction with Talentbank’s Raya Open House, the event blended celebration and recognition, spotlighting the successes of leading universities in a joyful, festive setting. Also in attendance were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ong Jeen Wei, Director of Alumni Engagement, Career and Entrepreneurship Development, and his team.
