The Faculty of Engineering and Technology (FET) through its Industrial Linkage Committee coordinated the James Dyson Award Info Session via online on 16 April 2025. The session featured two guest speakers namely Ts. Dr. Atikah Mokhtar and Mr. Khor Jun Bin, who delivered engaging insights into the James Dyson Award — covering its objectives, benefits, and steps for student participation.
A total of 24 final-year project students from the Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering with Honours and Bachelor of Electronics Engineering (Robotics & Automation) with Honours programmes took part in the session. Participants showed great enthusiasm in learning about design, innovation, and engineering approaches that tackle real-world issues.
The session ended with a lively Q&A that encouraged active participation and meaningful exchanges between students and speakers. The Faculty sincerely thanks all participants for their interest and involvement and expresses gratitude to the invited speakers for sharing their time, knowledge, and insights. We hope the session will inspire students to join the James Dyson Award and apply creative thinking in their final-year projects and future careers. May it be a steppingstone for developing innovative solutions to real-world challenges in engineering and design.
