Muhammad Faris Fiqran Muhammad, a Virtual Reality student from the Faculty of Creative Multimedia (FCM), has once again made our university proud by securing third place in the Outstanding Student category at the Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC) Premier Digital Tech Institution (PDTI) Outstanding Award 2024.

The ceremony took place on 26 February 2025 at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM), in conjunction with the PDTI Deans and HODs Meeting Q1 2025. The award was received on his behalf by Ts. Dendi Permadi, a lecturer from FCM who attended the meeting. Along with the prestigious recognition, Faris also took home a cash prize of RM800.

The PDTI Outstanding Awards, held annually, aim to honour both institutions and individuals who have made significant contributions and demonstrated excellence in Malaysia’s digital technology landscape. Since its introduction in 2017, the PDTI initiative, led by MDEC with support from the Ministry of Higher Education, has played a key role in nurturing digital talents and driving innovation within the local tech industry.

Congratulations to Faris on this remarkable achievement!
